Description

The document is in PDF format, I am not sending anything by mail.

In this material you will find 27 most common Czech verbs and The 26 most common Czech nouns according to Czech frequency dictionary.

It is not a textbook, but a a practical guide for students, who already know the basics of Czech. The material shows the main forms and common usage of the most frequent words. In total it contains 53 words – approximately one word for every week of the year. For each word you will find links to online resources, grammar tables and usage examples.

For verbs The aspect, or the aspect counterpart, tense, conditional, imperative, passive voice, and common conjunctions are listed. For nouns you will find gender, declension in singular and plural, common prepositional phrases, TEN / TA / TO forms and typical phrases. The examples are given as model sentences or mini-dialogues without English translation. The aim is for the student to actively search for the meaning and remember the words better.

I recommend working with the material gradually: rewriting selected tables and sentences, adding your own notes, and ideally focusing on one word per week.

Look inside.
